Stone Gossard, guitarrista de Pearl Jam, ha aprovechado que la gira que tenía planeada para 2020 se ha suspendido para redondear el nuevo proyecto musical que tenía entre manos, la banda Painted Shield, que debuta con el single «I Am Your Country».
Painted Shield surgió como una colaboración entre Gossard y el cantante Mason Jennings, y la banda la completan el baterista Matt Chamberlain y la teclista Brittany Davis.

Su autotitulado disco debut se publicará el 27 de noviembre a través de Loosegrove Records, el sello fundado por Gossard, y ya puede preordenarse desde el sitio oficial de la banda.
